Purr Heaven Sanctuary is a registered non-profit 501(c)(3) cat sanctuary in Powhatan Virginia.

Our community TNR program is paused until further notice. We are not accepting or maintaining a waiting list at this time. Please contact other rescues, shelters, low-cost clinics, or local animal services directly. When our program becomes available again, we will announce it on this website and on our Facebook page.

Purr Heaven Sanctuary provides a safe, lifelong home for 32 rescued cats, many of whom came from difficult circumstances or requiring ongoing care. We provide medical care, nutritious food, safe shelter, enrichment, and most importantly, a place to call home.
PLEASE NOTE - WE ARE AT FULL CAPACITY
Purr Heaven Sanctuary is not an animal shelter and does not accept owner-surrendered cats or provide rehoming services. If you need to surrender or rehome a cat, or need a stray cat picked up, please contact your local animal shelter or animal control agency.
Helping Cats in Our Community
Beyond our sanctuary, we support our community through humane Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) efforts, helping reduce community overpopulation and prevent unnecessary suffering.
